Compassion East Results

Saturday, September 7th was a day full of pain-relieving procedures, connective relationships, and lots of compassion. Throughout the day over 800 people were on the campus of Mt View High School.  About 300 volunteers were represented from 6 local churches and 2 public organizations.  About 20 organizations were represented in our resource area, including a partnership with Peace Health. 55 people received a haircut, 75 kids were playing in the kids area, 63 medical patients received help with blood pressure, cholesterol, and other types of issues.  Another 125 guests received dental help, including extractions, fillings, root canals, and cleanings. 80 of these guests were shuttled to 1 of 8 offsite dental offices which opened their own location up for us that day.  58 were seen by our chiropractor and 64 were seen by the optometrist. Olive Garden catered an amazing meal serving over 450 with a free spaghetti, salad, and bread sticks lunch.

Most of all we hope that everyone who was there felt the love and compassion of Jesus.  That is why we do this, so that relationships are formed and our guests experience something greater than a hand out.
